  1. Hey Adam, what's the best way of restoring a backup if I can't access the WP dashboard to get the UpDraft menu? I was in the middle of creating a backup that didn't seem to be responding so I refreshed the page. Now I get a "Error 502- Bad Gateway" page anytime I try to access the dashboard.

Good thing is I watched your video months ago and have my backups on DB. Look forward to hearing from you and thanks in advance!

  2. For already a week I am trying to download this plugin but its not working.. another plug I was able to download but with the Updraft Plus it keeps saying there was an error downloading it.. Do you know what the problem could be? Thanks in advance

  3. Thanks Adam for keeping us safe! I thought I had a back-up plan, but since I wasn't 100% sure where the back-up lived or how to restore it, I took your advice and installed Updraft Plus. You're right, it really was easy.

  4. Kia ora Adam – Thank you so much for your detailed tutorials they are da bomb, you do incredible tutorials and I'm so happy I am subscribed to your channel, what a great channel it is as well… Thank you again and your time on the non-techies tutorials is amazing ….

  5. I started using this a week ago but yesterday I removed wordfence plugin and then my site started showing http 500 error. So I delete the installation and install new wordpress data but when i tried to restore backup which I restored to Dropbox via updraft few hours ago. But after I upload I saw my site is broken now again.
P.s. I deleted the database in phpmyadmin before restore this. May you tell me why this happening. Is it because I deleted database.
Btw Your videos are awesome and your support too.
    Thank you for this.

  6. Thank you for this. It was recommended a while back to me to use another plugin, I think it was called WP backup, and for the life of me I could not get it to work! I found this so super easy to follow and I didn't get any errors, so busy backing up my website now. I will have to add this to all my other websites too.

  7. Adam, love your videos, especially b/c I'm busy trying to set up my own blog on wordpress. I'm following your advice and installing backup plugins and security plugins, etc, prior to creating the design and content of the website. Just an FYI, concerning installing Updraftplus. I believe it would work BEST with Dropbox. However, I did try get the Updraftplus plugin to work with Google drive last night and got an error message, after authentication. So I deactivated and uninstalled the plugin. However, when reinstalled the plugin today and did a manual backup to Google Drive, I received a success message from the plugin and the files were present on my Google Drive. That said, if I have any future problems with Updraftplus backing up to Google Drive, I'll plan to move to Dropbox. Seems the authentication process to Google Drive is NOT so complicated now.

  8. I'm stuck after selecting Dropbox to use. I can't save the changes, my site is giving me this message "updraft_send_command: error: UpdraftPlus: could not parse the JSON (502)" I have no idea what that means or what to do.

  9. Why would you recommend Dropbox when I tried to install it , it tried to install a 150 gigabit file and it keep jumping between 5 and 9 hours remaining (WTF is up with that) please answer or there is know way I could share this video

  10. Thank you so much for this great video!
